The North Houston Catholic High School committee is made up of 7 active members and about 7 support members, including the 6 Pastors who lead parishes that have a Catholic grade school. 

We are following the very successful effort of Pope John XXIII Catholic High School that opened 4 years ago.

We plan to build a 300
student co-ed high school
in our first phase and eventually grow to an 800 student high school as we are able to raise the funds.

The new high school will be fed by all the parishes in the north part of Houston of which St Anne, St Anthony of Padua, St Edwards, St Martha, St Mary Magdalene, and Sacred Heart have Catholic grade schools.  Enrollment in these schools exceeds 2000 students K through 8.

This will be a private Catholic high school run by a non-profit Board of Directors who will follow the guidance and leadership of the Cardinal Archbishop and the Superintendent of Catholic schools.  We will be accredited by the TCEED  http://www.txcatholic.org/education.aspd

The site search team has identified several sites that would be suitable and centrally located for the feeder schools.

Beginning in 2008 Guidance In Giving, a professional firm, will determine if there is sufficient financial support to make this school a success.

Most Holy Spirit,  you have commanded us to build a new high school.  Thank you.

When there was a need for wine, You acted through Jesus providing wine in abundance. When there was a need to call more disciples, You acted through Jesus provided a miraculous catch of fish that changed the hearts of his followers.  When the crowd needed to be fed, You acted through Jesus multiplied the bread and fish in abundance. In the celebration of the Eucharist, Your action transforms the work of our hands into work of God the Son, Jesus, who is the bread in abundance which gives life to the world.

Please provide what we need to make your school a reality.  Amen.
